WHY WAS A SCHOOL STARTED?
In this very populous village, the existing education facilities could not cater to the needs of the village. Initially, HDF opened three non-formal schools in 2008. These non-formal schools were then merged into a formal school in a rented building. As non-formal schools are only up to the primary level, many students, especially girls, never went any further because of the lack of secondary schools in the immediate area. In 2010, HDF constructed a building to supply quality education for girls, especially girls up to class 10.
WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES THIS AREA FACES IN EDUCATION?
This school is located on an unpaved link street. This is the only way to the school, and students face difficulties in reaching school during winter and rainy seasons. The street needs to be paved.
