City Council Election

The Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce’s Legislative Committee like to keep our members and the community informed about matters pertaining to the community.

Three City Council positions are up for re-election on April 7. A total of 8 candidates are vying for those seats with Jeff Thorsen, David Goss, and Ralph Dawson as the incumbents and Kay Stanish, David Bradford, Sal Di Benedetto, Mike Shorten, and Carolyn Schofield also in the running.

With the upcoming City-wide elections, we asked the candidates for City Council the following question and requested their response.

“Please comment on your position in supporting economic development and business in Crystal Lake. Please be specific in regards to any proposals you might have.”
