Page Click Statistics Report
Page Click Statistics provide a breakdown of the number of visitors and the number of pages visited in your site over a time period you can choose. This report helps you to gauge the popularity of your site, and of its individual pages.
Total Pages Served is a count of all page visits during the timeframe, period.
Unique Visitors is a count of how many people have visited your site. Whether a given visitor visits one page or 10 during a given session, it will count as 1 unique visitor. If a person leaves the site, then returns on another day, or even a few hours later, the second visit will be considered an additional unique visitor.
In the same manner, the individual pages in your site get their own popularity breakdowns.
Total Servings of a page is a count of how many times it was viewed. A visitor working his way through and around your site will increment a page count each time he views a page.
Unique Servings of your pages are tallied in the same way as unique visitors. The unique count for a given page will be incremented just once during each visitor session.
Why report these two types of counts? The unique counts tell you what people are looking at, while the total counts give you a feel for how much attention people are paying to those pages.
* Note that a certain percentage of your counts are generated by indexing robots (Google, Yahoo, etc.) that troll the internet looking for new websites. There is no reliable way to eliminate these from your counts due to the sheer variety of bots, their lack of adherence to accepted behavioral rules, and their authors' diverse naming conventions. Think of them as just a fact of internet life. Not a bird or a bee, but rather a caterpillar (the search bot) that will eventually return as a butterfly (a visitor that found your site via that search engine).
